“Avoiding Failures in Change Management” - Research shows that most organizational change initiatives tend to fail. Various change management models and keys to successful change will be discussed, based on personal experiences and research. The presentation will conclude with a practical, wavetop look at the Change Manager hiring landscape.
US Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Klingler, PMP, currently serves on the Headquarters Air University staff, Maxwell AFB, AL. Lt Col Klingler has extensive experience directing operations and managing multi-billion dollar programs in heavily matrixed environments, spanning 26 years of service. He is a Command Pilot with over 3,500 flying hours in the B-1, T-38, and T-6. 321 hours were flown in combat during Operation Enduring Freedom.
Lt Col Klingler earned his PMP in 2015 and volunteers with the PMI South Alabama chapter as VP Communications. He is also the chapter’s Military Liaison, facilitating events with Maxwell AFB to help show service members how military project management experience aligns with the PMI and its credentials.
If asked about the greatest joy in his life, he will say it is found in his best friend and beautiful wife, Michell, and their 5 children. The Klinglers also love camping and have 3 babies, the family dogs.
