Topic: "Personnel Development and Team Building in Unusual Situations"  - Mr. Kagawa will discuss a few scenarios built around challenging personnel development and team building scenarios frompersonal experience and unusual solutions used to satisfy the requirement.

kagawaBio: Over 30 years of experience in the IT arena, cover all aspects of IT. Started career as a Computer Scientist Intern with the US Navy Lab in San Diego working on the Emergency Action Messaging System for Ballistic submarines. From there, went to Diego Garcia to support the stand-up of an Air Force Optical Tracking System as a Site Programmer. Then transitioned to Kwajalein Atoll to supervise the Scientific Software Development Center. Then to Taegu, Korea to support the legacy AUTODIN messaging system for DISA. Career then transferred from programming to IT support when in a move to Pusan, Korea to be the Information Management Officer for a Medium US Army Transportation Command Port. Then over to Belgium to be the DOIM supporting US Army Garrison Chievres. After 9-11, worked at NETCOM at Fort Huachuca, assisting the Army in transforming into an Enterprise organization. Then to Germany to support DIA-Europe, the Stand-up of US Africa Command, and Infrastructure support for the European Theater. Back to Korea to build the Configuration Management program for Eighth US Army. Fort Knox as the G6 Operations Chief and closing a DoD/Federal Service career as the CIO/G6 at US Army Aviation Command at Ft. Rucker. William is currently the program manager for an $8M Advance Auto Parts network upgrade at 19 of their Distribution Centers.

Education: Bachelors of General Studies in Computer Science from University of Nebraska at Omaha 1983. MBA with a Specialization in Telecommunications Management from City University, Bellevue, WA 1993.
