 he University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education an
 d a Master’s degree in Health Studies. Brenda serves on the Bama by Dist
 ance\, Online Learning team in the College of Continuing Studies as a Prog
 ram Manager.She manages the development of professional development traini
 ng for participants to secure needed continuing education credits or indus
 try recognized certifications that will enhance their careers. Prior to he
 r recent appointment in Online Learning in December\, 2019\, from 2015-201
 9\, Brenda served as a member of the Corporate Engagement Team where she r
 egularly engaged with corporations and executives to connect resources fro
 m the university at large to business needs. She managed the business acum
 en portfolio including: the e-learning training platform for the BERTHApro
 gram\, the Crimson Lean/Six Sigma certificate program\, the Maintenance Ma
 nagement certificate program\, the Professionally Speaking workshop\, the 
 Project Management certificate program\, and e-learning in Supply Chain/Lo
 gistics and Supervision.In February\, 2017\, Brenda completed training as 
 a Certified Coach in the Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching 
 process. She will be using those skills in leadership coaching opportuniti
 es with business leaders across Alabama and the Atlanta\, Georgia area. A 
 life-long learner herself\, in May\, 2019\, Brenda completed a second grad
 uate certificate program at The University of Alabama in Consumer Conflict
  Management\, Negotiation and Mediation. She is honing her skills to assis
 t corporate clients to manage\, resolve\, negotiate\, and mediate conflict
  and to develop intrapersonal and interpersonal skills for living and earn
 ing.Brenda’s prior professional work experience includes 22 years in hea
 lthcare leadership and 11 years as site manager for a comprehensive Career
  Center operated by the State of Alabama which provides workforce developm
 ent services to the citizens of West Alabama. Brenda also taught as an adj
 unct instructor for the College of Human Environmental Sciences at the Uni
 versity of Alabama for 11 years.Brenda and her husband Rodney (retired IT 
 Director Westervelt Company) have been married for 42 years and are the gr
 ateful parents of two grown children\, Justin Truelove (Jordan)\, Senior V
 ice President of Commercial Banking at CentreState Bank in Birmingham\, Al
 abama\, and Carmen Truelove Snyder (Johnathan)\, Portfolio Implementation 
 Associate for BlackRock Financial in Atlanta\, Georgia. Most importantly\,
  Brenda and Rodney are grandparents to John Preston Truelove\, age five\, 
 and his little sister Julia Ryan\, age six months.Brenda and Rodney are al
 so active members at Calvary Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa\, where Rodney s
 erves as a deacon and choir
