Chapter President Dr. Zack Jourdan dr. zack jourdan Zack is an Associate Professor in Information Systems at the Auburn University Montgomery (AUM) College of Business.

Karen Stankard, PMP

Karen is a Technology Manager for the Auburn Montgomery Center for Business and Economic Development. Karen holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of South Alabama and an MBA from Auburn University at Montgomery. Karen has managed projects with clients such as the Shelby County (AL) Sheriff’s Department, Lighthouse Counseling Center, and Alabama Supercomputer Authority. Currently working as a Financial Services Project Manager for the State of Alabama, she has held her PMP certification since July 2013.

Director Membership, Volunteers and Networking Eric Pierce, PMP Eric Pierce US Air Force Colonel (retired) Eric Pierce is currently the Department of Defense Portfolio Manager and Defense Information Systems Agency-Montgomery Program Manager for Integrated Computer Solutions Inc.  Prior to retirement from the US Air Force, Col Pierce served in multiple positions to include the Director of Communications and Chief Information Officer, Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Agency in San Antonio TX; Combat Commander of the 380th Expeditionary Mission Support Group, Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates; and Director of Cyberspace Policy and Enterprise Services, Joint Staff Directorate of Communications and Information, Pentagon.  His major military awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, and the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara for outstanding service to the nation in US Army/Marine Corps field artillery.  Col Pierce has a Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University, and Master’s degrees from Incarnate Word College, and the Air War College.  He has been a PMP since 2013.
Director of Governance Andrea Cathey, PMP  

Andrea holds a B.S. in Computer Technology and Management with minors in Business Administration and Mathematics, from Judson College.

She has been working in Information Technology for 30 years in the Banking and Health Care Industries, performing in several roles: programmer, business analyst, technical coordinator, project manager, program manager, and software consultant.

Andrea received her PMP certification in 2013, and both Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certifications in 2015. Andrea has been a volunteer for the PMI South Alabama Chapter for several years and transitioned to a board member role (Governance) in 2018. She is currently providing project support to the Alabama Medicaid Agency as a Project Scheduler and Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) liaison/coordinator.

David Stankard

David Stankard 2 David is the President of Stankard Technology LLC, an IT consulting firm currently working for the State of Alabama. He has experience over a wide range of businesses installing, managing, training, maintaining, and supporting network systems, servers, desktops, and software applications. He has held leadership positions in software development and financial services, as well as owning his own business.

Paula Hills

Paula is a Senior Information Technology (IT) Project Manager with a proven record of delivering results on time and within budget for a variety of projects in various IT environments.  Direct responsibilities include cost control, cost reporting, progress reporting, and resource scheduling.
VP Communications & Military Liaison Patrick Klingler, PMP  PatKlingler

US Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Klingler currently serves as a Director of Operations for 250 graduate students at the Air Command and Staff College, Maxwell AFB. As the chapter’s Military Liaison, he serves as a military mentor and provides PMI assistance to active duty military and veterans.

Pat has extensive experience directing operations and managing multi-billion dollar programs in heavily matrixed environments. He has also served twice as an Inspector General, where he developed and led inspection/compliance teams and programs. Pat has over 3,500 flying hours in the B-1, T-38 and T-6. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and is working on a Master’s degree in IT (Project Management focus).

As VP Communications, Pat is also the chapter’s webmaster and social media coordinator. Pat received his PMP certification in December 2015.

VP Membership Kimberly Ivey  Kimberly Pic

Kimberly is a Systems Analyst Lead at MAX Credit Union, where her responsibilities include project management, software maintenance, review, and recommendations.

She is an alumnus of Alabama State University (Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science), Troy University Montgomery (Master’s degree in Computer Information and Science Technology), and Faulkner University (Executive MBA).

Kimberly is passionate about service to others, tutoring students in Math and English, and also serves in her church teaching, volunteering, and performing missions work.

Kimberly has been a PMI member since March 2010.

David Hardgrave, PMP

David is the owner and principal consultant of K.L. Jones Solutions, a company that provides IT support, project management, and leadership coaching services.  In addition to IT, David has worked extensively mobilizing volunteers and managing projects in non-profit, education, and the arts.
