Description of presentation: Project Management is often called upon to engage with the most exciting and yet, most challenging projects a typical business or organization might undertake. Today, the Alabama Medicaid Agency (AMA) is faced with a federal mandate to modularize and modernize their aged, monolithic Claims Processing system. This daunting effort will affect almost every agency business process and will take an estimated seven years to complete. In this session Mr. Tanaka will describe how AMA went through a comprehensive effort to plan and establish the foundation to tackle such extremely large enterprise-level projects before the first module is even procured.
