Dr. Mark Wentling, PMP
BIO: Mark has been active in Project Management since the mid-90’s while on active duty with the US Army and with the defense industry since his retirement from the Army in 2002. As an Army Officer, Mark held multiple positions during his service, including leadership, academic, and programmatic. He led defense projects and programs for Northrup Grumman (Huntsville, AL), VT Miltope (Montgomery, AL), and Micro Systems (Fort Walton Beach, FL). In 2006, he rejoined the Government as a civilian Portfolio Manager with the US Navy, where he led the DoD’s efforts in Autonomous Control of Unmanned Air, Surface and Land Target Vehicles (Patuxent River NAS, MD). Mark holds a BA in Business from Columbia, a Masters in Program Management from New England College, and Doctorate in Business from Capella University. Mark is currently retired and focuses his time on academic research and consulting.

Join us for the PMI South Alabama Fall Open House on August 14, 2025, at the Amory Learning Center from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Connect with fellow project professionals, hear updates from the chapter and board, and discover the latest developments from our Student Club. Light refreshments will be provided. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with the PMI community and see what’s ahead this fall!

On March 23, 2017, PMI South Alabama will host an informal social at Irish Bred Pub on Dexter Ave. in Montgomery. Anyone interested in project management is encouraged to come by.
This will not be our usual dinner meeting. It's a chance for chapter members and others who are interested in networking to find out more about PMI, the PMP credential, and PM in general. No agenda, just an open cash bar and some appetizers provided by PMI South Alabama. No admission fee will be charged - buy yourself a drink and come meet PMI South Alabama!
