Project Bites Registration-05
The PMI South Alabama Chapter is pleased to announce that we have negotiated a site license with ProjectBites.com that will provide all of our members with full access to the site for a one year.
ProjectBites provides project management education and inspiration in 20-minute video and audio ‘Bites’. As your chapter leaders, we believe this product gives us all a new and unique way to learn.
And most importantly to many of us, all time spent viewing these videos qualifies towards our collection of PDUs. This site has a tracking tools that will track our PDU collection for us.
Content is updated weekly with new and revamped content covering all aspects of our project management and related professions.

Speaker: Tommy McKinnon, Vice President of Community Engagement - Baptist Health Executive Director - Baptist Health Care Foundation.
Tommy McKinnon Bio: With 25 years of experience in strategic marketing, public relations and communications, Tommy McKinnon serves as the Vice President of Community Engagement for Baptist Health and the Executive Director of the Baptist Health Care Foundation. Tommy oversees the establishment of integrated strategies, plans, and programs designed to ensure that all advancement, communication, marketing, and public relations efforts are cohesive, consistent and effective in supporting Baptist Health’s mission and goals.
Tommy’s career has included employment with Brookwood Medical Center, HealthSouth Corporation, Miller Communications and Source Medical, all located in Birmingham, Alabama.
Tommy believes in giving back to the community through past and present service on several local and regional boards, including YUGO Ministries, Medical Outreach Ministries, The Wellness Coalition, Centerpoint Fellowship Church, Girl Scouts of Alabama, YMCA Camp Chandler Board and Junior League Advisory Board.
Tommy graduated from Birmingham-Southern College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He is a published novelist, avid sailor, golfer and musician. Tommy resides in Montgomery, Alabama, with his wife, Sandy, and three children—Kendall, Connor and Stinson.

BIO:
David Hardgrave is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and ScrumMaster (CSM) with 20+ years of experience managing projects in IT with cross-functional teams in the Government, Private and Non-profit sectors.
Currently David manages IT Projects for the State of Alabama Medicaid Agency, having previously managed Major projects for the State of Alabama’s Office of Information Technology, leading the initiative to migrate the State Capitol to Cisco’s next-generation software defined network, VOIP System and WebEx Virtual meeting technology. Previous to his work with the State of Alabama, David lead IT projects on contracts for the DOD and VA as a program coordinator.

Title: "Don't forget to leave a Tip" ...a few lesson's learned on cultivating the hidden potential of your team.
Abstract: No matter how large or technical the project, the complexity of the human element can always find a way to surprise and confound even the most seasoned leaders and Project Managers. In this session we'll talk through some common pitfalls to avoid and and a discuss a few key tips for discovering and cultivating the hidden potential of your project team and team members. A total of 1.5 PDUs will be granted for all who attend. A link to attend will be sent prior to the event.
